ProSiebenSat.1 Media AGs international film sales company presents new lineup at Cannes

Munich, March 28, 2006. From April 3 to 7, SevenOne International will present an extensive portfolio at the MIPTV film trade show in Cannes. The ProSiebenSat.1 Groups sales subsidiary has more than 250 hours of new programming on offer. The catalog ranges from series, comedies, mini-series, a telenovela and a collection of spoof fairy tales and movies to entertainment formats.

SevenOne International will be bringing an attractive programming mix to Cannes once again in 2006. After the runaway success of Thats Life, the market is waiting enthusiastically for the new telenovela Lotta in Love an engaging love story. The two-part action miniseries Six Weeks of Fear offers an exciting thriller in the Middle East. The Crows is a creature catastrophe thriller in the best Hitchcock mode, with real birds specially trained for the production by Oscar nominee Jean-Philippe Varin, says Managing Director Jens Richter. SevenOne International has one of the broadest product catalogs in the industry, he points out.

Programming highlights at MIPTV:
Events Unlimited is the brand under which SevenOne International offers first-rate international TV productions. Six Weeks of Fear (producer: Janus Film GmbH) is a gripping action thriller, lavishly shot in Morocco. The Crows (producer: Stream Films) is a creature catastrophe thriller in which intelligent mutant crows threaten Berlin. The film is outstanding for its detailed production values using real birds. Post-production was handled by TVT Produktion the same company that worked on Roman Polanskis Oliver Twist. In family entertainment, the Munich distributor has Charlie II (producer: Bavaria Film GmbH), a high-quality prime-time animated feature for the whole family from TRIXTER (The Ghost of Canterville).

The new Telenovela Lotta in Love is a humorous love story (producer: Rat Pack). Young Lotta works in a laundry, but also looks stunningly similar to pop star Alex and is promptly hired as her double. The glitzy surface of the music world proves deceptive, and complete chaos breaks out when Lotta falls for Alexs boyfriend. Following on the major success of Thats Life, Lotta in Love is the second telenovela to be broadcast by a German private TV station. The market has high expectations.

Among its Series Premieres, SevenOne Internationals offerings include the drama series Berlin 1905. This history of the Gravenhorsts, a family of industrialists in Berlin around 1905, engages viewers with modern stories in faithfully historical settings and costumes. Also on offer are the second seasons of the detective series Sophie and the lifestyle series Sex & More.

Of course, the international program distributors catalog includes Comedy Series. Pastewka portrays the chaotic day-to-day existence of a comedian. The show is also being marketed as a format.

The lavishly produced All Fairies have Tails parodies Grimms beloved stories, carrying SevenOne International for the first time into the realm of Fairy Tales.

SevenOne International also has more than 30 Movies in the portfolio. The wide range of genres includes romantic comedy, drama, detective and family entertainment. In the Next Door Crimes (producer: Annabelle Film- und Fernsehproduktion) unusual murder cases are solved. Also on offer are four more movies of the popular Dream Hotel (producer: Lisa Film).

One of the most famous German Entertainment Formats is the improv comedy Schiller Street (producer: Hurricane), which by now has been sold to broadcasters in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others. Now theres Schiller Street XXL, which adds a second set with the potential for parallel action. And under the Stars in Danger (producer: Brainpool) label, SevenOne International is offering events like the Wok Racing Championships, Stock Car Challenge and High Diving. This year the distributor will again be offering formats from Israels largest TV broadcaster, Keshet, for example, Love Lab, an entertaining attempt to solve the complicated problem of finding a partner in modern society. In Israel, Love Lab was one of the spring seasons most successful programs. The first six episodes earned Keshet an average audience share of 22 percent. Ladyland, (producer: Brainpool) another comedy filled with humor, wit and sentiment, is available both as a format and ready-made.

Upcoming Events Unlimited promises an action-packed catalog in 2006. Top productions like the catastrophe films Futureshock: Comet Impact (producer: Darlow Smithson Productions) and Tornado (producer: teamWorx), along with the adventure miniseries The Hunt for Troy (producer: teamWorx), about the 19th-century discovery of the treasures of ancient Troy, make for a persuasive portfolio of potential ratings hits. The teamWorx production outfit is well-known for its epic treatments, elaborate shoots at original locations, and high-grade theatrical-quality special effects.

This years nominees for the Rose dOr include Pastewka (Best Sitcom), Thats Life (Best Soap), Schiller Street (Best Comedy), Stars in Danger (Variety) and MegaClever! (Best Show).
